Details: Wowand#44; this is a lot of Mustang for not a lot of money. You absolutely could not duplicate this A-code pony with a strong-running 289 4V engine and a 4-speed for the asking priceand#44; even if you got the car for free. Bright red paintand#44; a beautiful interiorand#44; and a lot of charisma make this a fantastic way to get into the Mustang hobby without a major investment.

Repainted in what appears to be Signal Flare Redand#44; this handsome coupe looks like a million bucks. Originally hailing from down south where its spent most of its lifeand#44; the familiar Mustang sheetmetal is crisp and sharp thanks to expert restoration work. They built a lot of Mustangsand#44; most of them coupes just like thisand#44; but that doesnt mean theyre not handsomeand#44; timeless carsand#44; and except for perhaps a Corvette or a Porsche 911and#44; there arent many cars that are more recognizable around the world. This one has been dressed up with white stripesand#44; bright rocker panel moldingsand#44; and shiny chrome on the bumpersand#44; its nicely detailed in the way youd want your Mustang to look. Its not a fake GTand#44; not dressed up like some Shelby wanna-beand#44; just a clean coupe that totally nails the factory look. The result is cheerful and appropriateand#44; making this a car youll be proud to show at any level because it fits together so well.

A handsome black Pony interior is a very desirable upgradeand#44; and its authentically restored with great detailing and attention to the little things. Look how neatly the seat covers fitand#44; with just the right amount of padding underneath to create a supportive seat that doesnt look over-stuffed. Crisply marked gauges are all fully functionaland#44; another detail that you just dont see in cars priced like thisand#44; and the original AM radio still lives in the dashand#44; which is an increasingly rare find. Theres a 4-speed shifter sticking out of the transmission tunneland#44; so you know this neat coupe means businessand#44; and if you look closelyand#44; youll spot the Disc Brakes emblem on the brake pedaland#44; something that was still a novelty in 1966. Add in a fat wood-rimmed steering wheeland#44; correct door panelsand#44; and a taut headlinerand#44; and its hard to see how anyone could come out right-side-up financially with a sticker price like this. Interiors this nice are EXPENSIVE. The trunk also features a correct plaid mat and a pretty tired spare tire.

And this isnt just some 6-cylinder beaterand#44; either. For that priceand#44; youre getting a legitimate A-code 289and#44; fully rebuilt and detailed. Someone took the time to do it rightand#44; as theres Ford Blue paint on the engine itselfand#44; a high-performance air cleaner assemblyand#44; vintage power steering pumpand#44; and a set of finned valve covers that look great. Theres a Holley double-pumper carburetor on top of an aluminum intake manifold for a few extra horsepowerand#44; and it spins to life easily with a nice bark from the fresh dual exhaust system. The 4-speed clicks through the gears with authorityand#44; and 3.00 gears out back make it an excellent highway cruiser. Underneath its been augmented with a set of subframe connectors that make a noticeable difference in how the car feels on the roadand#44; and theres a new gas tank hanging out back. Styled steel wheels look awesomeand#44; especially wrapped in fresh 215/70/14 redline radials.

This car gets almost everything right: lookand#44; soundand#44; and feel. If you want one of the last truly affordable early Mustangs that need zero fixing-upand#44; this Mustang is a shocking bargain. Call today!
