Heading into 1967, Chevrolet only made some minor cosmetic tweaks to the Chevelle. The biggest changes came in a new high-level trim offering - the Concours - and a reduction in performance for the SS 396. The L34 engine option was reduced from 360 to 350 horsepower due to new GM rules governing horsepower for all cars apart from the Corvette. This particular Chevelle is a true 138 Super Sport equipped with the 396/350hp engine and backed by a Muncie 4-speed transmission. Although the engine and transmission are not original to the car, the engine is a factory warranty replacement and the transmission is date-code-correct. It has undergone a highly detailed rotisserie restoration, refinished in the original Marina Blue. It came equipped with several options, including 3.31 rear ratio axle, power brakes, power steering, dual exhaust, deluxe steering wheel, tachometer and push-button AM radio. |
