Are you tired of red resto-mod Mustangs yet? Perhaps this stunning Vapor Silver 1967 Ford Mustang GTA coupe will cure what ails you. The incredible build not only gives the car serious performance credentialsand#44; but its so drop-dead gorgeous that people will follow you for miles just to ask you about it. Its that kind of car. The transformation on this Mustang isnt as dramatic as youd thinkand#44; but thats the quality talking to you. The bodywork is expertly done and the silver paint works better on the vintage Mustang body shell than youd expect. It looks modern and cleanand#44; and with the correct GTA stripe along the rockersand#44; theres a bit of tradition in thereand#44; too (yesand#44; this is a real-deal documented GTA). The paint is so fresh you can almost smell itand#44; and thanks to a full wet sand and buffand#44; it looks like a million bucks. The 67s details work exceptionally welland#44; with the crease along the sides standing out clearly in silverand#44; showing off some ultra-straight bodywork. The color suggests a lot of modificationsand#44; but its quite stock save for some crystal clear headlight lenses. Even betterand#44; check out how the chrome pops against the silver paintand#44; with fresh bumpersand#44; a correct GT grille insert with fog lampsand#44; and beautifully detailed taillights. This is a seriously nice GTA. So youre already drooling over the slick bodyworkand#44; welland#44; get ready to be blown away by the custom interior. Ford put two-tone interiors in Mustangsand#44; of courseand#44; but they never looked like this. The whole interior is from TMIand#44; including Deluxe Sport R low-back bucket seats and a custom center console. New carpetsand#44; trick custom door panels that fit into the original slots in the doorand#44; and a factory steering wheel neatly blend old and new seamlessly. And no resto-mod would be complete without all the modern conveniencesand#44; so this one carries upgraded R134a A/C that uses the factory ventsand#44; a custom center console with cup holdersand#44; and a powerful AM/FM/iPod stereo system with speakers throughout the passenger compartment. The steering wheel and gauges are original pieces that have been restoredand#44; and they have a properand#44; new factory lookand#44; and the T-handle shifter manages the original (and freshly rebuilt) C4 3-speed automatic transmission. The back seat is custom-upholstered to match the buckets and the trunk is finished with a correct mat and full-sized spare with cover. The engine appears to be the original 289 cubic inch V8and#44; which was just rebuilt (100 miles ago!) to stock specs by Johnson Garage in Georgia. With a bunch of the usual horsepower goodiesand#44; including a big Holley carburetorand#44; Flamethrower ignition systemand#44; and a big aluminum radiatorand#44; its docile enough to drive every day but powerful enough to be a thrill on the weekends. The engine bay is dressed for show with lots of black wrinkle finish and polished aluminumand#44; and the modern hardware ensures reliability. The A/C system was updated with modern componentsand#44; but this is a factory air carand#44; and power steering is includedand#44; too. The front suspension is stock but fully rebuiltand#44; and you can tell this was a rotisserie job because the floors are as nicely finished as the bodywork. A stainless dual exhaust system has a great sound that lets the 289 rumble a bit without getting annoying and it sits on gorgeous Legendary wheels which look a lot like period Magnums but carry 225/55/16 performance radials. Yesand#44; its gorgeous. Yesand#44; its fast. Yesand#44; its comfortable. You could probably spend more moneyand#44; but its going to be hard to get more Mustang than this. Nicely documented with a reproduction window sticker and build photos with receiptsand#44; you can definitely buy with confidence. Call today! |
