1967 JAGUAR E-TYPE 4.2 LITER SERIES 1 COUPE --Olde English White with Red leather interior and Red carpeting, Recent and Complete Rotisserie Restoration (photo documented with receipts), 5-speed manual gearbox, Chrome wire wheels. The Museum of Modern Art in New York City placed a Jaguar E-Type in its permanent exhibit. The E-Type was just the third car to be honored by the curators of the museums permanent exhibit. Released in 1961, the E-Type was the first model released by Jaguar Motors after a disastrous fire destroyed the companys production facilities in 1957. The cars sleek lines made it an immediate success. The E-Type is the epitome of Jaguars exquisite feel for body design. The car is literally a work of art. During restoration it was decided to perform numerous upgrades for enhanced Performance and reliability although leaving the Jagandrsquo;s standard appearance. It is a true performance sleeper! Updates include. Rebuilt engine, balanced, blueprinted, upgraded with competition-grade bearings and pistons, high-performance camshafts, upgraded carburetors, stainless-steel exhaust manifolds and two-inch performance exhaust, providing well over 300 HP. The original 4-speed gearbox has been replaced with a Medatronics JT5 five-speed manual gearbox running through an aluminum flywheel. Further upgrades include a Ron Davis Racing aluminum radiator and cooling fan, gear-reduction starter. Chassis and handling upgrades include Koni adjustable shock absorbers, Zeus stainless-steel four-piston front-brake calipers, 6 wide Dayton wire wheels and 205/70/15 radial tires. Having done only break in mileage to date to sort the restoration, this E-type Coupe is perfect E-type for seasonal road use, concours or use in vintage rallies such as the Copperstate 1000. This E-type Coupe is superb in every way. |
