Finished in Regimental Red over a Parchment interior, this 400 4-Speed GTO was about as luxurious as you could build a GTO back in the day. The drivetrain consists of a completely rebuilt 400 CI engine with the synchronized, wide-ratio 4-speed option. 1967 was the first year for the 400 and it put out a stout 335 HP with 10.75 to 1 compression. The standard rear-end option for the GTO was 3.55, however, if the car was an A/C car (as this one is), the rear gearing was 3.23 to 1, which is how this car comes equipped. The Goat also has the Safe-T-Track rear axle, i.e., limited slip rear end. The interior of the GTO has been completely restored and is laid out with some pretty awesome factory options. The car comes with the desirable Rally Gauge package which includes the factory tachometer. The car also has factory A/C so naturally, it comes with the factory A/C dash. Between the two buckets seats - one of which is a factory power seat - sits the desirable center console, and the shifter is adorned with the custom factory shift knob. Sitting between the console and the dash, below the AM/FM radio, is the factory 8 track player with Stereo option. There are custom seat belts all the way around, and did we mention the GTO has power windows? Rarely seen in these cars, the GTO sports a pair of headrests and dont miss the lusted after Sport steering wheel. |
