One of 14 left drives built to this most elegant of all postwar formal body styles, this is the legendary Available Jones car.

Nathan Jones was a colorful Texan involved in the oil drilling field whose motto was Iandrsquo;m available He purchased a number of very special Rolls-Royces during the 1950 and 1960s, each equipped to his own specifications and retained several until the end of his life in 1977. This wonderfully preserved entirely original example, finished Masonandrsquo;s Black lacquer with Beige Connolly hides front and West of England broadcloth to the rear had traveled slightly over 19,000 miles since first delivered in November, 1966. It became part of a major collection in Houston, Texas for more than two decades and was acquired by ourselves in 1999 at 19,069 miles and resold to a client for whom it was stored here in our facility for ten years before our repurchase at 19,642 miles.

We supplied it to its third registered owner in December, 2009 after fully servicing and preparing all the mechanicals and upgrading the cooling and air conditioning systems to a standard of efficiency undeveloped four decades ago. He felt that the original paint which was patinaed and slightly age checked was not in keeping with the remarkably well preserved interior and commissioned us to refinish it to Concours standards in Masonandrsquo;s Black R-M lacquer as originally supplied. At that time the mileage traveled over nearly 46 years was 20,115.

In May of 2012 it became part of a wonderful collection of a gentleman who has now somewhat reluctantly traded it to us against a very important pre-war Rolls Royce.

The total miles to date are 20,161.

The tools, original Waterford Crystal decanter and glasses, and every component of the original book package have survived in virtually mint condition along with the original warranty document and Mr. Jonesandrsquo; yearly maintenance books, along with a host of RROC Trophies and special throw pillows and mink lap robes commissioned by the owner when the car was new, in their original Neiman Marcus boxes.

In the interests of efficiency and reliability, the original generator and piston type air conditioning compressor have been replaced with a high output alternator and rotary compressor. The replaced units will be supplied to the next owner, or retrofitted upon request.
