This documented (by Protect-O-Plate), numbers matching1968 Camaro RS/SS 396 (L35) was built the first week of April, 1968, in Norwood, OH. It has just finished a thorough(over 3 years) rotisserie restoration. The car was recently appraised by certified SEMA appraisor at $67,750. Appraisor stated in appraisal that the car had an outstanding professionally applied paint job - one of the best he had ever appraised. If you are frustrated (as I was before buying this car and entering into the restoration), in trying to find a REALLY good Camaro, this is your car! . Done on rotesserie, withall new brake and fuellines, fittings/fasteners with correct finishes and bolt heads (AMK), this car has nothing that has not been brought to new (or better) by restoration or replacement. The list of parts and procedures is far too long to list here, but is included in appraisal, which can be furnished to serious buyers. Upgrades to the car include 4-wheel disc brakes, completely rebuilt L35 engine with premium parts (Speed Pro forged pistons, ARP bolts, Comp Cams entire valvetrain, Clevite bearings, Fel-Pro gaskets, professionally done Quadrajet (Cliff Ruggles), 2 1/2 mandrel bent exhaust w/H pipe. Original M-20 was completely rebuilt with new bearings, synros, 2nd and 3rd gears. New Hurst Comp-Plus shifter, new Zoom 11 clutch. Rearend completely rebuilt with newRichmond 3.73 posi and all new bearings/seals. Car has its original 8-track tape player, though I did not reinstall it (console mount to me is a nuisance with 4-speed). The vehicle has its original tic-toc tach and console gauges. All work great and clock has new quartz movement, therefore it will keep working. It is a deluxe interior car, with much of it original, but in pristine condition. This car has dyna-mat type insulation extensively used throughout interior. It is extremely tight and drives wonderfully. The car has DSE 2 dropped springs at both ends. It benefits from extensive powder coating and all bare metal finishes underhood are clearcoated for durability. If you want a lst gen Camaro to be proud of, see this car before you buy. You wont be disappointed!
