1968 Datsun 2000 roadster 5 Speed Overdrive with removable hardtop. Only a little over 3000 made in 1968 and only slightly over 13,000 of the 2000 models were made between 1967-1970. The car was bought for a returning Viet Nam veteran by his dad who had just about every option put on it. He drove it until 1976 when he dinged right front fender. His dad painted the fender and it sat in a garage until 2003, when it was bought by a car lover who drove it 60,000 miles and dutifully took care of it. I purchased it from him in July of 2013 I have since driven it all over CO and parts of Utah. This car is a driver and fast. Totally stock it will run about 126 mph. It is not an MGB copy it came out before the MGB body style, albeit only by a few months. This is a car for the driving enthusiast. I put a Momo racing steering wheel on (makes the experience more fun) Have original steering wheel that comes with car. Monza racing exhaust (sounds like an airplane cruising) Replaced new, rebuilt or fixed over last year: have records and receipts. Lower ball joints Front end Shocks Disc Brakes /Clutch master cylinder Transmission Water pump Battery Canvas convertible top Lucas driving lights (have original Chiao lights, but they are cracked) Tires Bridgestone Insignia whitewall 185/70/14 Painted wheels Throttle cable / cruise control connected Carbs re-jetted adjusted like new Electrical Competition springs 2 lower in front (drives amazing) Original interior / Rollbar Luggage rack / removable Hardtop removable /black vinyl perfect Has a crack above tach on dash, I put on a dash cover that you can remove so it wouldnt crack more as I showed it this year and some wear and tear on center console. It is old paint and has a couple paint chips, dingers and scratches. Shines up like new. Chrome has usual wear and could use to be redone at some point. Reliable enough to drive coast to coast. Uses unleaded high octane. This is a beauty and all put together. To find one in this condition
