Details: | STK 2078 1968 Pontiac Lemans GTO Tribute The GTO remains one of the most popular muscle cars of all time. Pontiac introduced the concept in 1964 and we all thank them for it. GTOs were based on the mid-size Lemans chassisand#44; added a big V-8and#44; hood scoops and sweet sounding dual exhausts. The GTO name left little doubt that it was created with racing in mind. The 1968 GTO was a little bigger than the originaland#44; but a much better all-around car. If you purchase an original GTOand#44; you will not go wrong. Howeverand#44; they have experienced a dramatic price rise in the last decade and you may consider it a bit intimidating to cruise the streets in your new investment. Enter the Tribute car. True it is not an originaland#44; but you dont have to remortgage the farm to buy it and you can actually drive it on Saturday. Our GTO Judge Tribute is a sweet car. Every detail is done to near perfection - check out the photos again. The beautiful Carousel Red (Pontiac Hugger Orange) paint was applied in 2005 and looks better than any showroom model. The white power top is in excellent condition. Period correct Pontiac Rally wheelsand#44; a rear-deck spoiler and Judge accents complete the exterior. Under the hood is a rebuilt Pontiac 400cid motor that sounds just like it should. Every GTO should be a 4-speedand#44; so this one is equipped with an M-21 and a Hurst CompPlus shifter. The white vinyl bucket seat interior has been fully restored and is in very good condition. It is equipped with AM/FM stereoand#44; in-dash tachometerand#44; gauge packageand#44; power steeringand#44; power disc/drum brakes and tinted windshield. This is a fun ride and the current owner is ready to pass it on to the next caretaker. Maybe that should be you. Call 800-650-1055 or visit www.autobarnclassiccars.com for additional information.
