1969 American Motors AMX It is no secret that AMC always marched to a different drummer when it came to styling and innovation. Unfortunatelyand#44; that drummers tune wasnt what the majority of the buying public wanted to dance to. As performance oriented two seater there really wasnt the historical provenance to compete with the Corvette and the styling was just a bit too radical for mainstream America. This one is a two owner car that restored about 10 years ago and still looks very good today. The engine is a 390 replacement for the original 290 V8 that is channeled through a smooth shifting 4 speed tranny. There is power steering and brakes that make it fun and easy to drive.
