Details: The right car comes along only very rarelyand#44; and in a sea of clonesand#44; tributesand#44; and outright forgeriesand#44; serious collectors know when to make a move on a car theyve been searching for. For those of you looking for a high-grade F-bodyand#44; THIS 1969 Camaro Z/28 is the right car. Numbers-matchingand#44; low ownershipand#44; fully restoredand#44; and in an awesome color combinationand#44; the value of this car is only going up from here. Dont miss another opportunityand#44; because cars like this are incredibly rare.

Who doesnt love basic black? Although it was originally Daytona Yellow (not a bad choiceand#44; either)and#44; during the restoration this car was treated to one of the finest black paint jobs weve ever seen. Although it was done in the late 1990sand#44; it has been wonderfully well maintained and still looks fantastic. I like to think of the Z/28 as a precision instrumentand#44; like a scalpel to carve corners (and the competition)and#44; and the nasty black paint plays up the contrast between the Zs image and its performance. And as an investment-grade carand#44; no expense was spared to bring it up to show-worthy condition when it was restoredand#44; which means arrow-straight panel workand#44; great panel gapsand#44; and a wonderful shine thats the result of hours and hours of tedious hand labor. Cars just dont look this good by accident. It also sports all the correct Z/28 gearand#44; including a cowl induction hoodand#44; front and rear spoilersand#44; andand#44; of courseand#44; the white stripes that practically define the first-generation Camaro. Add the right badges and you have a car thats sure to win on the street and the show field.

One of this Zs better features is the matching black interior. Where a lot of guys go for bright white in their black carsand#44; this one sticks to the factory-specified setup and is that much better for it. Everything was new when the restoration was completedand#44; with correct deluxe seat covers and headrests that are a nice change from the usual low-grade vinyl stuff you see. Correct carpetsand#44; new door panelsand#44; and a center console make this one of the better-looking interiors weve seen in a stock Camaro in months. Wood appliques actually match the woodgrained steering wheel pretty well and warm up the interior a bitand#44; and with auxiliary gauges on the center consoleand#44; this Z is fully dressed. Other features include the 4-speed Hurst shifter with cue ball knoband#44; a tilt steering columnand#44; and a modern AM/FM/cassette radio in the dash. Detailing is very nicely done and even the trunk carries a fresh mat that fits better than most.

The engine is why the Z/28 is so special. Yesand#44; the originaland#44; numbers-matching DZ-code 302 is still in placeand#44; fully rebuilt 1000 miles ago and detailed for showand#44; and thats what makes this car such a great opportunity. For those of you who have driven a Zand#44; you already know what a party it is on the roadand#44; and if you haventand#44; prepared to be surprised by its torqueand#44; not to mention its rev range. All the right components are in placeand#44; including the finned valve covers that were unique to this modeland#44; all living atop a Chevy Orange block. Long-tube headers feed a Flowmaster exhaust systemand#44; so this sucker sounds spectacular at full boreand#44; and 4-wheel discs have been addedand#44; a smart idea on a car with this much performance on tap. Polished Torque Thrusts arent correctand#44; but they look so right that nobodys going to complainand#44; and theyre carrying big 245/45/17 front and 275/40/17 rear performance radials.

Highly detailed and a thrill to own and driveand#44; this might be your last chance to get a matching-numbers Z/28 for under six figures. Dont say we didnt warn you. Call today!
Analysis: Poor Deal, 14.0% above market avg. What's this?
