Details: This 1969 Nova SS is one of the most unique cars we have ever had. It has some of the coolest provenance that you could imagine.Think of owning a car that both the biggest name in big block power and one of the most widely known names in creating race engines collaborated on...Don Yenko and Grumpy Jenkins. This car started life as a 396/375 hp 4 speed car which was bought new at Yenko Chevrolet in Canonsburg Pa. Then in 1982 the current owner of the 69 decided he wanted his car Yenko-ized but with lots of extra muscle. That is when Don Yenko sent the engine to Jenkins Competition...thats right Bill Grumpy Jenkins built the engine. The power plant that currently sits in this 1969 Nova is a genuine Can-Am spec 447 cubic-inch all aluminum Chevy big-block with a host of light weight aluminum goodies. ZL-1 camshaft...13:1 compression producing an estimated 550-600 horsepower. There is documentation that records the VIN of the Nova and the serial number on the block from both Yenko and Jenkins which certify that this engine was indeed put together by Grumpys competition shop. The M22 4 speed transmission is also a Jenkins item and the 4.30 Positraction rearend will guarantee that this cool little Nova gets off the line in stellar fashion. The Plain-Jane interior with its bench seat and standard issue factory floor shift does nothing to give away whats under the hood. Rounding out the package are Cragar S/S wheels and slapper style Lakewood traction bars. This car has had an extensive and correct restoration being very aware of the cars unique and rare historical significance. How many more instances of a collaboration between Don Yenko and Bill Jenkins are there out there in the car world?...Cant be very many...Heres your chance to own a historically significant automobile that would be a rare addition to anyones collection. Weve seen Jenkins and Yenko cars going for well over $250000. We are motivated to sell so if you are a true collector call and make us an offer. CONSIDERING ALL REASONABLE OFFERS
