Holiday Road, Holiday Road, Holiday Road! This car reminds me of Chevy Chase in the Vacation Movie. You can clearly see yourself in the back, your Dad or Mom driving, fighting with you sister or brother in the back seat with the dog all the way in the back, or better, you sleeping in the way back with the window open. Today they arrest your parents for this!
We have to admit that when we saw this we thought wow, here is another very cool piece of Americana. It is as nice to drive as it looks and it really was the pioneer to todays SUV. This Falcon Station wagon has two rows of seats and then a HUGE area for storing everything from a Flat screen TV to three giant dogs and if that is not enough space, dont worry, you can fold down the rear seat for more.
The overall mechanical condition is good, it starts immediately, drives nicely, shifts nicely, and stops nicely. Start her up, pack up the kids, the wife, the dogs, and head to Sams Club for a pallet of toilet paper, it will fit. The engine is a very nice runningstraight 6 which is an easy engine to rebuild and they are very reliable.
The interior is in very good condition, the drivers seat needs a bit of minor work, but therugs, headliner, steering wheel, and controls are all in good condition and feel good in your hands. Start her up, feel the shifter as she goes into gear, the seats are comfortable, and there are lots of seatbelts for the kids or grandkids.
The body is also in good condition. Yes, there are some minor spots on the body panels that will need attention at some point, there are some bubbles, please see the pictures, but overall the body is in good shape. The pans, rockers, and frame are in very good shape and need little to no work. There is one spotthat could use some work down the road, but it is minor and an easy fix. We can do it or you can, your option.
In short, this is an Iconic American Car with a running straight 6, good brakes, and in overall good condition. Take her for a spin with the whole family!
