Details: 1970 Chevelle Malibu. Purchased by the original Owner in 1971. I purchased this car from the original owners family in October of 2000 with 62,411 original miles. The car has been garage kept since 1971. I have spent the past 15 years restoring it as I have time. It is a factory original AC car with Power brakes, power steer, rear defrost. Last charge on the AC had a leaving air temperature of 47° F. The interior is all original except for a new radio. Brand new drivetrain includes a rebuilt 350 by Mauzy Racing including +0.30 bore, Dart Iron Eagle Heads, Comp Cam (110° Separation, 106°Centerline, 270 Duration, 0.47/0.313 Valve/Lobe Lift), as well as many more upgrades. All build and dyno sheets included. The rebuild only has 4,499 miles on it. The exhaust is a 3 H-pipe with Flowmaster Turbos turn down after the rear axle. This car sounds very aggressive and has the horsepower to prove it. Original 10-bolt 2.56 single drive rear end was replaced with a 12-bolt 3.73 posi less than 3,000 miles ago. Also recently rebuilt is the original Turbo350 Transmission with a TCI 2,700 torque converter (specified to the engine build) and high performance HD shift kit with less than 500 miles on the rebuild. The car was painted in April of 2002. After being stripped to bare metal it was block sanded multiple times to ensure all imperfections in the metal were fixed. This car was virtually rust free except for some slight surface rust on the trunk lid and rear quarter. There wasnt even any rust under the vinyl top or behind the glass once removed. The paint color is a General Motors WA3190 Code/31 Dark Green and WA1640 Code/120 Bright White. Both front and rear bumpers have been stripped and re-chromed. The car sits on 15 Chevy Rally wheels. Rear wheels are 15x8 with a P295/50R15 tire and the front wheels are 15x7 with a P215/70R15 tire. Completed with all new shocks, springs, etc. this car has a low and very aggressive stance. I have all paperwork and receipts from the past 15 years of working on this car including the original build sheet. I have kept all of the original parts including hood, wheels, manifolds, trim pieces (vinyl), AM radio, etc. I also have some parts that have not yet been installed, i.e. cowl induction wiring harness, door dust seals, under-hood sound insulation kit, along with much more. This car is extremely solid and is in immaculate shape.
Analysis: Good Deal, 46.0% below market avg. What's this?
