The big news for the Corvette in 1970 was Chevroletandrsquo;s new 454ci V8 that replaced the 427. The top power-plant option was the 454 LS5 rated at 390 horsepower and 500 LBS torque. The compression ratio on this big motor was 10.25:1. This super-nice Corvette is an original car with one very high quality repaint in the correct Donnybrook Green. The original interior is in great condition. It has had only three owners from new and has been with the current owner for fifteen years. The overall condition can be described as excellent. All numbers are matching. If you have been following classic Corvette values, you are aware of the steady climb in prices on Vettes from this era. This is especially true of the big block versions. Here is an excellent example in beautiful condition with a hardtop and a brand new soft top. Any corvette is a blast to drive but a big block beast is in a class of its own. There is no substitute for the rumble coming from the dual exhaust. Most people would never turn the radio on; they would rather listen to the muscular music only a big block can produce. This rare and highly desirable Corvette aced our comprehensive road test with flying colors. It needs nothing in the mechanical and cosmetic areas, itandrsquo;s ready to show and go.
