Details: Sorry sleeper fansand#44; this 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is definitely not about keeping a low profile. Insteadand#44; the vivid yellow with black Mach 1 graphics make a statement that practically dares other cars to give it a go. And with a stout 351 cubic inch V8and#44; this real-deal Mach 1 will more than hold its own on the streets and looks fantastic doing it.

If youre going to own a 1971 Mustang Mach 1and#44; you should probably own one thats the defining color like this: bright yellow. It just looks right. Thanks to a high-grade restoration a few years agoand#44; this slick Mustang cuts a high profile wake through ordinary traffic and if you like the later fastbacksand#44; you have to admit that they dont get much more attractive than this. The ram air hood with locking pinsand#44; the chin spoilerand#44; and the rear wing all contribute to its high-performance credentialsand#44; and for the most partand#44; all that gear is totally functional and part of the package. Once the paint was prepped and polishedand#44; correct Mach 1 stripes were applied to the hood and deck lidand#44; along with the hockey sticks down the sides and Mach 1 calloutsand#44; a look that just seems right on the longand#44; low Mustangs. Fit and finish are quite good and the body-colored urethane front bumper was a popular option throughout the industryand#44; giving the Mach 1 a much sportier look than its chrome-laden cousins. Of courseand#44; theres still a bit of shiny stuff around the windows and out backand#44; and dont worryand#44; they made sure to buff it up to match the bodywork.

The handsome ginger interior is fairly stock and is how this car was orderedand#44; a pleasing complement to the high-impact exterior and a nice alternative to the commonly-seen black interiors. The original buckets have been reupholstered and look quite stockand#44; and when they work this welland#44; theres really no need to replace or upgrade. New carpets recreate the original weave and textureand#44; and the door panels feature wood inserts to add a little warmth to the upscale Mach 1. The instruments are way down deep in a set of round nacellesand#44; along with auxiliary dials in the center of the dash. A factory center console has one of the earliest armrests thats actually useful as an armrestand#44; and theres a newer JVC AM/FM/CD stereo system neatly installed in the dash. The Bandamp;M shifter lends an aggressive look and manages the 3-speed automatic transmission without a second thought in the heat of combat. Theres also a good-sized trunk with correct mat and full-sized spare with matching cover.

And you will enjoy driving quite a bit thanks to the burly 351 cubic inch V8 under the hood. Topped by a 4-barrel carburetor and wearing a functional ram-air air cleanerand#44; it has a definitely high-performance look. Ford Blue paint looks great against the satin black engine bay and other than a fresh Holley 4-barrel carburetor and a bit of a lopey camshaft insideand#44; it appears largely stock. The exhaust system is much like the originaland#44; so its smooth and never obnoxiousand#44; and while the chassis isnt detailed for showand#44; it doesnt have any red flagsand#44; either. A fat front sway barand#44; disc brakesand#44; and a 9-inch rear end are all welcome upgrades on a car thats going to get driven. Cool Magnum 500 wheels look greatand#44; even on the later body styleand#44; and carry 225/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials all around.

If you dont mind the attentionand#44; this is a flat-out awesome car to drive. Documented with a Marti Report and some manualsand#44; it offers a great combination of show and go. Call today!
