| Details: | This 1971 914 is a good driver with no visible rust. I have owned it for 5 years and time to let it go. Starts, runs and drives. A lot of mechanical work has been doen on the car in the last 5 years. Engine is healthy (minor oil leaks). The transmission shifts good. The injection was repalced with carburators. The paint looks very nice (except for a one inch rock chip on the front hood, which I plan to fix, in which case will update and post new pics.). The interior is very nice. The seats were recently reupholstered and look brand new. The suspension and brakes are very good. The wheels and tires are very good. Several rubber seals will need a replacement. Overall most major electrical parts work but some gauges and switches may not work. There are probably other small issues that need to be addressed but overall, good driver. |
