Details: Rare 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1

The Ford Mustang Mach 1 has always been at the pinnacle of Mustang performance line. Few Mustangs have been more highly regarded and in demand than the venerable Mach 1. And within the Mach 1 heritage, the 351 Cleveland Cobra Jet with factory 4 speed was one of the monster motor combinations to own during the last chapter of the muscle car era.

This California car belonged to the same family for over 40 years. This Q Code 351 Cobra Jet is a preserved original having one refinish of original Bright Lime paint with the original interior, original engine and drivetrain clearly showing a meticulously maintained condition.

This desirably optioned Mach 1 is in impressive condition as a well preserved original vehicle and has sat proudly at the California Automobile Museum as the posterchild of the Ford Mustang performance heritage, deservedly so. We would suggest this Mach 1 sets the standard for what preserved originals should be.

This no rust, all original sheet metal Mustang Mach 1 has been meticulously maintained and preserved to insure the car remains just as it was in 1972 (See Marti Report) and it certainly hits that mark. Driving this vehicle is truly just as if you had stepped back in time to 1972. It is solid, smooth, fast, fun and everything you would have expected and more.
