1,000,000th Thunderbird built. Limited edition of 1 of 1. The rarest standard production Thunderbird built by Ford. This is the only one built. Many people claim to have a rare car, but if you want the rarest, this is: 1 of 1. Built June 22, 1972. A special bronze medallions by Ford are mounted in the top landau bars proclaming it as the Onemillionth Thunderbird manufactured. Mounted on the dash is a reproduction medallion. The car has been featured in many books, magazines, and newspapers. Only one 1972 Thunderbird was painted this custom gold. So special is the paint the body data plate for the color is blank. The car has 55,000 miles and driven only on concrete or asphalt- never on gravel, salt or snow. The car is in excellent condition, always stored indoors in an insulated dry garage. Trunk is like new, engine compartment is excellent. Exterior paint is original, and yes, it does have a couple of minor defects in the paint. What car that is 44 years old and has 55,000 miles is perfect? The 460 cu. in. engine runs as new and is coupled to a C-6 transmission. The turbine finned hubcaps have the same gold paint as the body. Other body parts have the same gold paint accents. The car is 100% original as from Ford. I am the second owner and have owned the car 31 years. Its time for someone else to take the reins. The book Thunderbird by Ray Miller shows a photo of Thunderbird Onemillion coming off the assembly line and through a celebration banner. If you want a rare car in your collection, this is it!
