Up for sale is the ultimate in the Land Yatch - Parade Car category which has exploded over the past few years. These cars have finally started to gain some traction in the collector world and with good reason. They are cool, they represent the cars everyone who was anyone: Company Owners/Politicians/Gangsters (some who were all three!) drove on a daily basis. When this vehicle was on your street on in the parking lot, it meant business. High gas prices hurt these cars from coming into their own, but now things are back to a reasonable number and one can enjoy trips to their vacation house in this baby without worry. This was the last year for the Fleetwood Eldorado Convertible, with an 8.2L 500 Cu In V8 and a 425 Turbo Hydra-matic transmission it was the top of the food chain for American Vehicles in 1976. There are Bi-Centennial editions of this car selling for staggering amounts around the world, and they are pulling these cars along with them. Built in the Detroit plant, our car has given 40 years of joy to its owners and has plenty of time left for the next caretaker to enjoy. Lets talk about the particular vehicle we have for sale today: This Eldorado is a three owner car and has been stored in a warehouse for the majority of its life. The top is in excellent condition and its power function works as it should, smoothly and quiet. Body is in better than fair shape, couple small dents and chips are present on the original paint, but the main hook on our vehicle is the lack of rust. Check the pictures of the door corners and underneath, there is none present. Obviously not driven in bad conditions. The paint has held up rather well but is definitely considered driver quality, not a show car. Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. Runs/Drives/Stops/Turns just as it should. Engine is quiet, transmission is smooth as silk. Car has an Exempt mileage status due to the age of the vehicle. Odometer has turned over and stopped working during the previous owners time. Speedometer works, cruise control, AC, power windows/locks/seat all functioning properly. An aftermarket radio has been installed and works as it should. Power Antenna inop. An extremely rare option is included with this car. The Hard Tonneau cover, with matching original paint, and storage bags, is included and will set your car apart from the rest at shows. It truly buttons up the folded top perfectly and will be a great place to sit during your hometown parade! Also, the front grill is an upgraded chrome version which harkens back to the Rolls Royce facia of the day. Original black hubcaps were a period correct option as well and are in good shape. The leather is in great condition for its age and is all original to the car. Showing the fact that it was definitely kept out of the sun for the majority of its life. Dash pad is cracked in the usual locations. Rear bumper filler pieces on the exterior of the car could use some work, but Ive seen much worse. If you were going to just drive it as is, no worries. If you were going to paint/restore it, they would have to be addressed. We are licensed PA dealers and accept all trades.
