Another Anniversary Corvetteand#44; you say? Maybeand#44; but look again. This one not only sports its original two-tone color combination and factory-installed L82 engineand#44; but a 4-speedand#44; lots of optionsand#44; and a gorgeous black leather interior as well. With just 55and#44;167 original milesand#44; its the perfect balance of well-preserved originality and affordability. The two-tone silver over charcoal paint downplays the Sting Rays dramatic lookand#44; but the designers chose it for the anniversary models on purpose. Its sophisticatedand#44; not loudand#44; and emphasizes the Corvettes best featuresand#44; which are those dramatic Coke bottle fenders. The fastback roofline was newand#44; and not only improved aerodynamics but increased cargo capacityand#44; making the Corvette a car that was truly able to be used daily. Showing such low mileage and just one owner until about 1.5 years agoand#44; howeverand#44; this one was obviously never a daily driver and is exceptionally clean inside and out. The paint looks greatand#44; with a fantastic shine and gloss that really pops against the curvy fiberglass. Youll note that the front and rear bumper covers are in excellent condition and its been fitted with the chin spoiler and ducktail from the Pace Car to give it a more aggressive look. There are not many Anniversary Corvettes that look this goodand#44; no matter how low their mileage. That black leather interior I mentioned earlier is flat-out gorgeous. While most Anniversary models received the standard silver leather bucketsand#44; black was available but seldom chosen. Looking at the lovely interior of this Vetteand#44; Im puzzled as to why because its simply amazing. Its also all originaland#44; and shows only light wearand#44; most notably on the drivers sideand#44; but its quite minor and gives the seats the look of your favorite black leather jacket. Matching door panelsand#44; a steering wheel wrapped in the same leatherand#44; and a center console that looks like it belongs in a luxury car instead of a Corvette complete the ensemble. Everything works as it shouldand#44; including the A/Cand#44; power windowsand#44; power locksand#44; tilt/telescope steering columnand#44; and the original AM/FM stereo radio. Overheadand#44; removable T-tops give you the open-air experience and you can take them with you thanks to a neat storage system in the rear hatch area. The originaland#44; numbers-matching L82 350 remains under the hood in essentially untouchedand#44; factory-correct condition. The engine is a smoothand#44; torquey small block that made the Corvette one of the most potent cars you could buy in 1978and#44; such as it was. This one is nicely preservedand#44; tooand#44; so youll be proud to tilt the hood forward and show it offand#44; and it has been recently serviced with new valve cover gasketsand#44; a fresh clutchand#44; rebuilt carburetorand#44; new fuel pumpand#44; and an A/C service. A 4-speed manual transmission shifts well and gives the L82 plenty of room to runand#44; and with the new clutchand#44; it is a delight to drive. The chassis isnt detailed for show any longerand#44; but it has never seen snowand#44; and includes original items such as the catalytic converter and most of the exhaust system plus new bushings in the suspensionand#44; so it rides well. Andand#44; of courseand#44; it rides on the original machined aluminum wheels wearing wide 255/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials. This is a beautifully presented Anniversary Corvette with lots of documentation and a rare interior that really stands out. Call today! |
