The history on this car is that it began life as a 911 SC Targa. In 1978and#44; a customer of Holberts Porsche outside of Philadelphia wanted a 930 Turbo Targa. Porsche did not build this car at the time (not until 1987 would Porsche build this car) so Holberts Porsche ordered in a 1978 Talbot yellow 911 SC Targa and Al Holberts race shop built this car to factory 930 specs for their customer. It has big brakesand#44; coil over suspensionand#44; 915 LSD 5 Speed Transmissionand#44; Bandamp;B Headersand#44; Bilstein Coilover Suspension and Much More.

Since Al Holbert was a Porsche factory racecar driverand#44; he worked very closely with the race dept. Porsche was aware of this car being built and in 1978 Porsche also built two 78 930 Turbo Targas to test the concept of a turbo cars ability to handle the power without roof frame support.
