Striking 79 Sedan Deville purchased new by my Grandfather in May 1979. (Documented). I purchased the car from my grandmother in 1999 and had a new basecoat/clearcoat paint job completed, new white vinyl top installed and full mechanical restoration. Original 425V8 motor runs strong with only 68k miles. After tune-up in August 2016, I drove 125 miles on a 100 degree day - AC blows COLD and motor purrs like new. Original Aqua durand velour seats and carpeting. New headliner. All door panels are original and virutally flawless (including driver side). Highly optioned: Tilt andamp; Telescope Wheel, dual (split) power seats with power passenger recliner, power windows and locks, Cruise Control, Guidematic Headlamps and Twlight Sentinel, Delay Wipers, Dual remote mirrors and illuminated vanity mirrors. Illuminated Entry System, Power Trunk Release with pull down. Original factory Digital Display (ETR) AM/FM Stereo with power antennae are all fully functional (8 Track needs work). Rear Defrost. Opera Lamps, wire wheel cover. Newer (correct) diamondback radials with wide whitewalls complete a stunning exterior. I have owned and restored a number of Cadillacs over the past 20 years and this one was my first and favorite due to it being a family car. Many collectors agree that 1979 was the last of the best old-school Cadillacs due to the highly-reliable 7.0L 425 V8 powerplant, quality design and materials.
