Details: Its hard not to get excited about a nicely-priced example of classic American luxuryand#44; but this 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V has far more going for it than just value. With its original big V8 under the hoodand#44; factory white paintand#44; and A/C still blowing coldand#44; this is a great example of a luxurious survivor.

The Continental has always been a great American luxury car with a TON of vintage sheetmetal. The gothic Mark V was longerand#44; widerand#44; and lower than its predecessors. This coupe has the great big personality of the 1970s without the drab earthtone color pallet. Its sophisticated original white paintwork is the perfect backdrop for the razor-sharp fender creases and plentiful chrome accents. The front has the Rolls-Royce style grilleand#44; and 1970s chic flat front hidden headlights. This is accented by attractive parking light lenses that are miniature works of casting genius. Out backand#44; the deck lid features the Continentals trademark spare tire hump/continental kit. But what really makes this Mark V stand above the others are all the great factory features that remain on the car today. From the half-vinyl roof with opera windowand#44; to the delicate red pinstripingand#44; to the turbine-style wheels – it all feels like 1979 all over again.

The right person ordered this coupeand#44; because a burgundy interior is always a great choice for these vehicles. It has sophisticated tone with just enough flash not to be ostentatious – and that was the whole point of the Mark V line. The deep wine color covers everythingand#44; including the seatsand#44; carpetingand#44; steering wheel and dash. While the car is survivor qualityand#44; a few elements have been replaced to make sure the car still met the standards a proper Lincoln should. So for exampleand#44; the headliner was replaced with matching materials just simply because that fabric was never designed to stay in place for four decades. The pillow-top seats have that feeling of true cruising luxuryand#44; and you have the choice to seat six totaland#44; or fold down the front armrest to give you true individual luxury. As expected from a vehicle of this caliberand#44; there are plenty of factory luxuriesand#44; including power seatsand#44; power locksand#44; power windowsand#44; cruise controland#44; and the factory air conditioning thats blowing nice and cold. There is even a Cartier in-dash clock in front of the driverand#44; so you know this is true automotive jewelry. But as much as this is nice and modern luxuryand#44; theres one great upgrade. The stereo is now an AM/FM/CD unit with aux and USB inputs so your most modern components can plug into this very classic coupe.

Fords smooth and refined 400 cubic-inch Cleveland V8 provides effortless performance in the Continental. It has good horsepowerand#44; but the real story is the torque thats enough to pull a boat. Of course you will likely never want to tow a yacht in this beautiful big bodied carand#44; but its this kind of available strength that allow you to smoothly and quickly cruise away from the stoplight. And because the car has been so original so farand#44; it should be no surprise that this is the numbers-matching powerplant. While its the perfect car for the drive-in (after alland#44; its more comfortable than any movie theater seat)and#44; theres much more to this Mark V. It has a three-speed C6 automatic transmissionand#44; power steeringand#44; and disc brakes at all four wheels. This means you can ride in comfort to car shows as far away as you want.

Survivor qualityand#44; vintage luxuryand#44; and a value price – if youre quick enough to grab this dealand#44; youll see this Continental Mark V offers everything you want in one extra-long coupe. Call today!!!
