Details: ENGINE A
No compression test was performed. Engine block number is 18V/883AEL/03908C. This engine is the correct one that came with the car. It is a 1979 MGB engine (non-O/D). It has a long reach head, requiring the 3/4 reach spark plugs. NGK BP6ES plugs are recommended. Engine has the 5 quart oil pan installed. Camshaft installed is a 0.013 clearance camshaft (warm), for valve setting.

EXHAUST AA
No problems found. Original equipment steel exhaust system installed. Dual exhaust tip has been added, to rear of back muffler.

FUEL SYSTEM B
Car has a single S.U. Fuel pump, mounted at the rear, in the trunk wall. Fuel pump is a S.U. solid state pump, installed in 2015. Carburetor is a single Zenith-Stromberg, model 175. Correct for a 1979 MGB. Original 1979 MGB air cleaner is installed. All smog equipment is present. Charcoal absorption canisters have been replaced. All rubber fuel hoses have been replaced. Fuel tank has been boiled out.

IGNITION EQUIPMENT C
Car presently has a Lucas Electronic Ignition installed. Original equipment for this vehicle. Distributor rotation is counterclockwise. Firing order is 1-3-4-2. Lucas ignition coil installed.

COOLING SYSTEM D
All water hoses have been recently replaced, and are in excellent condition. No water leaks were found. Checked coolant, and was rust free. Radiator has been recently re-cored. Radiator core is a 3 pass staggered core, for increased cooling. Fans are two (2) thermostatically controlled electric motors with plastic fans, original for the car. New fan motors installed. Has coolant recovery bottle mounted on right side of firewall.

FLYWHEEL AND CLUTCH E
Tested OK. Has a 8 clutch installed; correct for model. Hydraulically operated.

GEARBOX F
Tested OK. Original MOWOG 4 speed transmission.

PROPELLER SHAFT G
Original drive shaft for MGB installed. No problems seen.

REAR AXLE H
Rear end has the original 3.909:1 gears, as originally fitted to the 1968-80 MGB differential housing.

REAR ROAD SPRINGS I
No problems found.

STEERING GEAR J
The steering rack boots appeared to be OK. Use 90W gear oil in the steering rack. Steering wheel is the optional aluminum three spoke leather covered steering wheel, with padded MG center piece, as originally equipped to Limited Edition cars.

FRONT SUSPENSION K
Front A-arm bushings have rubber bushings. Looks to be in good condition.

HYDRAULIC DAMPERS L
Performed a bounce test on the car. All shocks found to be in working order, and dampened oscillation very quickly. Armstrong hydraulic dampers are installed all around.

BRAKING SYSTEM M
Tested brakes, perfect stopping power. Brake system requires use of either Castrol GT/LMA brake fluid, or silicone brake fluid. No fluid leaks observed. Castrol GT/LMA brake fluid is installed. Recent brake work has been done on this car. New brake hoses installed. Parking brake holds car. Occasionally, check the rear brake adjusters. Tighten until brake drum cannot turn, then back off one click.

ELECTRICS N
Electrical system is 12 Volt, negative ground. The battery is a Optima battery. Wiring is PVC coated wires, with blue vinyl tape loom covering. Loom looks to be in very good to excellent condition. Dual horns are installed. Car does have turn signals installed. Turn signal stalk switch recently replaced. Alternator is correct Lucas model.

LAMPS and LENSES NN
Sealed beam headlamps (matched). Wagner flat lens headlamps. Driving/fog lamps installed as well. They are mounted below the bumper. Switch in steering column.

INSTRUMENTS NNN
Speedometer and Tachometer are two larger instruments. All instruments are functional. The carandrsquo;s instrument panel is equipped with:, an oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge, water temperature gauge, and clock. All dash gauges and switches
