One-Owner 1983 Mercedes-Benz 380SL with 66,700 Miles. White Exterior and Tan Leather Interior. 3.8L V8 Engine. Automatic Trans. Purchased new in Fresno California and was never outside the state. Always garaged. This 380SL is in pristine condition for an andrsquo;83. The white exterior paint is practically flawless. The tan leather interior is like new. The matching door panels are inlike newcondition and the dash pad is free of cracks or sun damage. All of the gauges (oil pressure, temperature, gas gauge, including the tachometer and speedometer) work, as does all of the safety equipment (lights, wipers, horn, seat belts, etc.). . The clock works as does the cruise control. The factory air conditioning works properly and blows cold refrigerated air. An extremely nice example of a low-mileage and always-garaged 380 SL. Starts cleanly at the turn of the key and idles smoothly. The automatic transmission shifts cleanly and smoothly. The brakes function very well without pulling to either side. This car was purchased fully equipped with Power steering, Power disc brakes, Cruise control, Power windows, Power locks and the original Becker AM/FM/Cassette stereo. The chrome and stainless trim is in very good to excellent condition. All of the windows are in great condition (with the exception of the front windshield) and operate correctly with their power assists. The windshield has an arching scratch where a piece of the windshield wiper came off).The body of the car is free of any rust issues. This 1983 Mercedes-Benz 380SL is in excellent condition and would be a very good choice as a collectible convertible. The only other issue, other than the windshield, is the chrome on the wheels. They have some white spots on the rim edges and would need to be re-chromed. The wheels were purchased with the car from the dealer.It is for these reasons (the chrome on the wheels and the scratch on the windshield) that I have decided to put it up for sale.
