Details: This lovely late model 2CV Charleston has been enthusiast owned and carefully maintained by the same owner for many years. She was purchased from this gentleman recently and taken to Burton car Co. for a thorough evaluation and refurbishment. A new convertible roof (with rear window defrost) was installed, and the seats were reupholstered. She has new sun visors and a 12 volt outlet. The gearbox oil was changed. The engine oil and filters were changed, valves adjusted, new spark plugs and cables installed, and an electronic ignition system was fitted. A rebuilt carburetor was installed, jetted correctly for todayandrsquo;s gasoline. A new oil filler and sump breather assembly was installed. She received new wheel bearings, new wheel arm bearings and the king pins and bushings were replaced. New drive shaft boots installed as needed. The rear wheel brake cylinders were replaced. The brake system was flushed, and refilled with new brake oil (LHM). The first muffler was replaced.

No work was necessary on the body or chassis. While in the shop the chassis received a fresh coat of rustproofing. Chassis, floor boards, lower fire wall and door sills are all in excellent condition. The tires were replaced recently and there is a spare tire bracket under the hood that can be used if more trunk space is desired.

The original Citroen ownerandrsquo;s manual and factory delivery information are included, as well as an English language ownerandrsquo;s manual.

The engine runs smooth and strong, the transmission works great. There is no evidence of any oil leaks. Brakes and steering are excellent. She has disc brakes on the front, and drums on the rear. This is a very handsome 2CV with excellent paint and interior, and a soundly running car! The cars return great fuel mileage and are a lot of fun to drive. These late model 2CVs have plenty of power to keep up with modern traffic in the city, and will drive along happily all day long at 65 mph on the highway. They are famously reliable, and if youandrsquo;d need anything parts are readily available and inexpensive.
