Details: The Porsche 944 is quite possibly the biggest bang for the buck in sports carsand#44; and this ultra-clean 1986 944 has a lot going for itand#44; not the least of which is its outrageously affordable price tag. With just one owner and a look that still turns headsand#44; you probably cant have much more fun than this for so little cash.

Everyone has a red Porscheand#44; which is why this Stone Gray 944 stands out in a crowd. The 944 represented a distinct change from the rear-enginedand#44; air-cooled 911and#44; yet it still carries all the Porsche hallmarks: impressive performanceand#44; great build qualityand#44; and iconic looks. The wedge shape has aged well and thanks to Porsches attention to detailand#44; it still looks great. Thanks to excellent maintenance and perhaps a repaint at some pointand#44; it looks fantastic and people are still going to think you inherited some cash when you show up in this car. Body gaps are excellentand#44; as is typical with these carsand#44; and things like the urethane bumpers and deep front air dam are still in good shape. Details like the black bumper overridersand#44; door handlesand#44; and rear spoiler are likewise in great conditionand#44; showing none of the usual issues that these cars get over time. Theres no evidence that its been raced or abusedand#44; and even the chin spoiler suggests that someone was always careful to avoid parking curbs and steep driveways. 30-year-old cars NEVER look this good!

The awesome oxblood leather interior has an invitingand#44; almost artistic look thats a hallmark of Porsche design. If it didnt make the car work betterand#44; they didnt botherand#44; but theres no reason it cant be beautiful at the same time. As a resultand#44; you get supportive high-back bucket seatsand#44; well-positioned controls and arguably the best 5-speed shifter ever built. Bigand#44; clear gauges are easy to read at a glanceand#44; although in typical Porsche fashionand#44; many of the secondary controls are kind of cryptic. No worriesand#44; thoughand#44; because once you figure it outand#44; youll discover that the A/C still blows coldand#44; the power windows go up and downand#44; and the sunroof lets in plenty of light. The stereo is a decent-sounding Sony AM/FM/cassette head unit thats probably been there since this car was almost new. The back seat is reasonably sized for a Porscheand#44; and you can always drop the seats to make the trunk area truly cavernous.

The 944s naturally aspirated 2.5 liter inline-four doesnt make big horsepower numbersand#44; but its plenty potent enough to make the lightweight 944 a ton of fun when the road starts to twist. This car isnt about sheer speed (although its plenty quick)and#44; but rather the balance between accelerationand#44; handlingand#44; and braking that make it one of the most consistently beloved cars of all time. The engine has been properly maintainedand#44; which is obviously critical on a Porscheand#44; and if you do it rightand#44; itll last almost forever. Its shockingly clean under the hoodand#44; but better stilland#44; its fully functionaland#44; and the same is true underneathand#44; where there are no nasty surprises awaiting you. Obviously it lived in a warm climateand#44; because the bare aluminum and cadmium plated parts all remain bright and cleanand#44; not chalky with corrosion. Nice! The brakes remain powerful and confidence-inspiring and the handsome Porsche phone dial wheels carry 215/60/15 Nexen performance radials all around.

Great colorsand#44; a bulletproof drivetrainand#44; and a clean bill of healthand#44; you can drive this 944 with confidence and nobody will ever guess how little you actually paid. Call today!
