1970 Triumph, TR6, unrestored, great condition for a restoration to any level desired. The car is complete, starts, runs and drives very well and needs very little and could be driven in its current condition while being restored. The 1970 TR6 is the higher horsepower engine used in the proceeding TR250. The entire car is sound except for the headlight eyebrows (2 fenders are included with the car, picture shown) and a 1.5 diameter spot on the drivers floor. The general metal condition of the car is in very good condition which is one reason I bought the car on the spot. That, and the wire wheels! Engine is in good tune, compression good on all cylinders, does not smoke, carbs in sync and tuned well, starts right up and runs strongly with 75-80psi oil pressure on start up settling to 55-60 hot. Incidently I have driven the car in 90 degree plus weather with no overheat tendency at all. I installed Pertronix breakerless ignition so points are no longer an issue. Clutch and transmission operate well, no syncro issues or gear noise. Unlike some of the IRS TR6sthe rear wheels sit straight and do not have a canted or squat attitude at rest which support the statement that the rear suspension and frame are solid and exhibit no flex. Supercold has affected the master cylinder although a rebuild kit is included. Car exhibits no engine, transmission, or rear end leaks -- rare for a British marquee!
