Pontiac Fiero SE. Pontiac responded in 1985 when a 135-hp 2.8-liter V-6 was made available in SE and new-for-1985 GT trims. In addition to the uprated mill, the SE and GT also had more aggressive bodywork that included body sills, a different nose, and an optional rear spoiler. A new fastback roof was introduced on the GT for 1986 (with this the previous years notchback GT become known as the SE). Pontiac made the Fiero from 1984-1988. The vehicle featured a unique mid-engine rear wheel drive layout which to this day is one of few mass produced American cars to use this layout. Initially offered with just Inline 4 cylinder enthusiasts were happy to welcome the introduction of the 2.8 Liter V6 beginning in 1985. This particular 1987 model features the 2.8 Liter V6 which is rated at 140 Horsepower. This is the SE model which features the aero nose and fastback body style. This particular example is finished in bright Maroon red. It sits on factory wheels with healthy radial tires. This 100 % original example is extremely clean and has only 111,000 original miles. This car was owned by an 88 year old Dad who took care of her. He maintained the car so it runs great and has always been garaged. In 1987 only 3,875 SE models were manufactured. One could easily use this car as a show vehicle or as a very stylish weekend cruiser. Pontiac is no longer in business so their vehicles are bound to become collectors pieces.
