Some of these cars have been modified and irreversibly changed from what the engineers in Stuttgart designed. Others have been neglected and restored to near their original luster. The full restoration cars and the ones that have been freshened can be nice cars, but ultimately they have had to be brought back to the condition a collector or enthusiast is looking for. There are also many nice cars that have seen tons of road or track time and have lots of miles. Rarely can a buyer find a meticulously maintained original that did not need any restoration to be a first class car. This car is the definition of that meticulously maintained, low mileage original. It was originally purchased from the famed Stoddard Cars in NE Ohio. The original owner has now passed but at the time he owned the car he was a doctor in Toledo, Ohio. He had it serviced at Yark Porsche in Toledo until he traded it in 1992. Shortly thereafter my father purchased the car with 9,910 miles on it. My father is a meticulous man. Everything he owns is in perfect condition. He owned and drove the car often enough to keep it in tip top mechanical condition but infrequently enough to keep the miles very low. For the 20 years from 1992 to 2013 he drove the car 7,000 miles. Over the years, the car was serviced by Yark Porsche and at a business called The Shop in Toledo by a Germany-trained Porsche Technician named Bob Pavkovich. In 2013, My father had decided it was time to part with the car (he intended to buy a classic 1955 Buick) and I bought it from him. It had 16,956 miles on it that time. I have recently researched the history of the car and have spoken to almost everyone who ever touched the car. I have, for your inspection, a Porsche certificate of authenticity, the original buyerandrsquo;s order from itandrsquo;s importing dealer Stoddard and a stack of service records. The car came from the factory just the way you see it today. Options included: Black Partial Leather interior, Black Paint, US Emissions, Leather Column Casing, Blaupunkt andlsquo;Renoandrsquo; Radio (which I have in a box), Limited Slip Differential, Sport Seats with Electronic Height Adjustment, Alarm System and an Electric Sliding Sunroof. The car still has the tool kit, original key, the ownerandrsquo;s manual, warranty and maintenance book and the rest of the materials in the ownerandrsquo;s folio. It has not been repainted, It has original leather and original wheels. It needs no service, everything works, there are no excuses. It is simply one of the most complete and original US Spec 930andrsquo;s anywhere. It is a time machine back to 1987. There may not be a finer car of this vintage in existence today.
