Please feel free to call 949-548-7900 with any questions. European Collectibles is proud to present this very capable and unique Porsche 911. The project began when the former owner bought a 1989 Porsche 911 (964) and delivered it to 911 Design in Montclairand#44; CA. The purpose of the build was to redesign this 911 for ultimate performance while still retaining creature comforts and everyday usability. The project was cost-no-object and the direction of the project was overseen by 911 Designs ownerand#44; Loren Beggs and the owner of the car. The unibody is constructed of a custom carbon Kevlar roof that adds strength and removes weight. There are no rain gutters. The front hood and rear decklid with ducktail are also lightweight. Further rigidity was gained from an internal roller that is integrated into the headliner and door posts. Lightweight windows (Lexan) were used all around except for the windshield. New OEM headlightsand#44; taillights and rubber seals were installed along with an ultra lightweight racing battery from Braille. The interior keeps up the same theme with all the best lightweight materialsand#44; including RS carpetsand#44; RS door panelsand#44; Alcantara headlinerand#44; Recaro Pole Position Racing Seatsand#44; GT3 Cup Car steering wheeland#44; GT3 Cup Car seat belts from Schroth and Techart racing pedals. The 3.8L flat six-cylinder was increased to 3.8L with internal throttle bodies and Motec engine management. Stainless steel race headers and GT3 RS style exhaust were fitted. A G50 six-speed manual transmission and short shifter were mated to a limited slip differential with GT3 spec clutch and flywheel. All of this is connected to the road by 18 3-piece forged aluminum wheels (18x8.5 Front and 18x10.5 rear). Braking is provided by Brembo via their Big Reds which are cooled by customer brake ducts. ERP suspension engineering supplied the suspension which is comprised of JRZ Pro Racing coil overs with external reservoirs. The ride is stiff enough for track useand#44; but compliant enough for everyday comfort. It is truly amazing to drive a car with a best-of-both-worlds suspension. |
