1994 XJS INSIGNIA Roadster
One of only 68 roadsters built to this specification, the XJS Insignia Class stand alone in being painted with the limited use color, Red Metallic Pearl, along with limited use black trim. It was the first Jaguar automobile to break the $70,000 MSRP plateau.
The era of the beautiful Connolly Leather Limited was coming to an end but was used to equip this car, along with the extensive chrome and burled walnut trim used throughout the vehicle, also supplied by Connolly. The carpeting is the unmistakable Connolly lambs wool, in one of its final appearances. The interior trim provides genuine leather throughout, all seating services, door assemblies, map pockets, sun visors, dash and under dash trim, foot wells, and door pillars. The car is equipped also with the last version of Jaguar diamond cut wheels.
This automobile is acknowledged as one of the finest luxury grand tourers ever built. We have owned five Jaguar automobiles, including Vaden Plas and Special Edition XJR sedans, and, none can match the ride quality of the XJS Insignia Edition. The car displays 32k pampered miles, having been kept in a climate controlled garage, driven only in good weather and is beautiful. It has been kept on collector car insurance with a fixed assets value appraisal of $35,000. Regular service, records available and new tires, including full size spare, 500 miles .
