Eldorado convertibles have always been something specialand#44; and this stunning 1995 Cadillac Eldorado is one of the most highly-sought of them all. With only a handful builtand#44; its a modern luxury convertible with all the expected featuresand#44; plus that thundering Northstar V8 that makes it feel far more sporting than youd expect. If youre going to cause a stirand#44; you may as well do it in a cool Calypso Green ragtop. It seems wrong to call this a ragtopand#44; simply because its so beautifully finished. From the factoryand#44; its like Cadillac had something to proveand#44; so these cars were typically extremely well made and you can certainly tell the difference in the paint. For your $45and#44;000 or so 1995 dollarsand#44; you got a spectacularand#44; deepand#44; rich paint job that people will ask you about at stop lights because it seems to appeal to everyone in a very big way. Then theres the rakish look of the drop-top Eldorado which completely cures the coupes awkward window treatment and garden-variety fastback roofline. And honestlyand#44; there are so few of these around that EVERYONE is going to want to know more about it. Fortunatelyand#44; this outstanding example is a textbook lesson on how to take care of a car. It definitely lives up to the flashy yet elegant look of its ancestors. Deeply luxurious tan leather seats are every bit as comfortable as they are inviting. Your first temptation is to just run your fingers over those tan hidesand#44; and you wont be disappointed. Theyre also extremely well preserved with no signs of long days baking in the sun. Sureand#44; there are a few comfort marks on the drivers seatand#44; but the leather remains soft and extremely supple. Every feature Cadillac could imagine in 1995 is includedand#44; with power assists for all the usual pieces. The convertible conversion is OEM in every wayand#44; offering 1-touch convenience and remarkable engineering that stows the heavily insulated top (complete with heated glass rear window!) under a matching tan bootand#44; very much the way the factory would have done it. Better stilland#44; theres a full-width back seat and a trunk that is still usable as a trunk for long weekends. The structure is rock-solidand#44; the top mechanism works flawlesslyand#44; and yesand#44; the 45and#44;486 miles shown are authentic. It has been properly servicedand#44; so there are no worries about its mechanical conditionand#44; and by 1995and#44; the engine was all but perfectedand#44; delivering impressive reliability and economy. The suspension is all-independentand#44; 4-wheel disc brakes offer powerful stoppingand#44; and those flashy chrome alloy wheels wearing 225/60/16 Vogue whitewalls look right on the shiny Eldo.
