With only a few years in productionand#44; LT1 Corvette powerand#44; and a cool full-size appearance we hadnt seen since the muscle car eraand#44; we all knew cars like this 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS would be classics. And with the low miles and factory paint on this preserved exampleand#44; it has been cherished from day one. Averaging less than 1and#44;300 miles annuallyand#44; you know this Impala SS came from someone who loved this sedan. Thats why the factory Dark Cherry Metallic is still a peach of a paintjob. Its a color youll really enjoy because it looks almost black at nightand#44; but then the red comes out in the sunlight. Clearly treated to a life of privilegeand#44; the sleek full-size sedan looks every bit as good now as it did two decades ago when it hit the showrooms. Everything on this one is neatly preserved and in excellent conditionand#44; from the urethane bumpersand#44; to the slick body-colored Impala SS badges that subtly adorn the flanks. And of courseand#44; everyone loves to see those correct 17-inch alloys filling the wheel wells. Gray leatherand#44; bucket seatsand#44; and a center console do a great job of upgrading the interior of the Impala SS into the performance car world. This one shows only minor signs of useand#44; certainly in line with the mileageand#44; and the leather remains supple and smooth. All the gauges are fully functionaland#44; and the Impala came only one way: loaded. Cruise controland#44; power windows power locksand#44; power mirrorsand#44; a powerful AM/FM/CD stereoand#44; and ice-cold air conditioning were standard equipmentand#44; and it all works like new. In additionand#44; this one sports dual power seatsand#44; automatic headlightsand#44; and an auto-dimming rear-view mirrorand#44; which were part of the Preferred Equipment Group. But more than luxuriousand#44; the Impala SS is one of the final few performance vehicles that has room for all your family and friends. Road trips are even in the cards for this one (if you feel like adding to the low odometer) because of the huge trunk. The Impala SS is a true legend thanks to the Corvettes LT1 V8. Take some time to look at the amazingly stock and clean condition of the engine bay – its like youre picking it up from the Chevy showroom in 1996. But dont be afraid to get a little dirt in thereand#44; after alland#44; these Chevys were made to be driven. The LT1 barks to life easilyand#44; idles smoothlyand#44; and it pulls like a freight train. The four-speed automatic overdrive transmission is smooth and always seems to be ready to leap into action. The suspension has been upgraded over the Caprice to handle the extra power with easeand#44; and it comes with power steeringand#44; ABSand#44; four-wheel disc brakesand#44; sway barsand#44; grippy BF Goodrich Comp T/A tiresand#44; and pricey de Carbon shocks. Heres a great modern classic in the grand tradition of large muscle cars. This kind of legacy is backed up by original documentation such as the owners manual and original window sticker. This is the perfect collectable to also take family and friends on the long trips. Thats why we also know it wont stay with us long at this affordable price. Call today!!! |
