Details: This 1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 convertible has to represent the most bang for the buck in any of our showrooms right now. Oneand#44; its super cleanand#44; with just 49and#44;787 original miles. Twoand#44; its got a great-running LS1 and a 6-speedand#44; so its insanely fast. And threeand#44; it costs fifteen grand. Good luck finding a faster car for less cash!

The silver Z/28 ragtop looks greatand#44; as it should with such low mileage. Obviously never a daily driverand#44; its been a serious toy almost since day one. And even though its now nearly 20 years oldand#44; it hardly looks it with a modern appearance thanks to the timeless color and well-preserved soft parts. The composite body panels are in excellent condition and the factory-applied paint shines up beautifullyand#44; so youll be wanting to get this one to every show you can find. The updated nose on these final fourth-gen Camaros is arguably their best lookand#44; a bit softer but less boy-racerand#44; and the lack of stripes is perfect if you like to walk softly and carry a big stick. Its never been hit or wreckedand#44; and despite the V8 powerplantand#44; it sure looks like its been babied every day of its life. No road rash on the rockersand#44; no beat up noseand#44; and a smooth surface thats been washed and waxed on a regular basis.

The black leather interior doesnt need upgrades to be a highly functional drivers compartmentand#44; and the low-key look certainly helps with the stealth factor. The seatsand#44; carpetsand#44; door panelsand#44; and other soft parts are in exceptional shapeand#44; showing almost no wear save for some comfort marks on the drivers seatand#44; which is rather amazing for a car thats approaching two decades old. The Z/28s came pretty much loaded with everythingand#44; including A/Cand#44; power windowsand#44; seatsand#44; locksand#44; and mirrorsand#44; cruise controland#44; and a full array of gaugesand#44; and its all working properly. Heckand#44; even the AM/FM/CD stereo is still the original Delco unit. The black canvas convertible top looks great and still seals up well while the deep trunk is big enough to handle a few soft-sided overnight bags on your next road trip.

Later Z/28s like this one got the Corvettes all-aluminum LS1 engineand#44; and while GM was playing games with the numbersand#44; it ran like every one of the 305 horsepower was working overtime. Time has proven that theyre virtually indestructible and with an SLP air filter assemblyand#44; maybe it makes a few extra horsepower. Lay off the throttleand#44; and it remains quite docileand#44; with smooth road manners and no complaints about city traffic. But get it out in the open and let it stretch its legsand#44; welland#44; its a different story. The well-spaced ratios in the 6-speed manual gearbox mean that its easy to keep it in the fat part of the torque curve and it loves to rev. A glance underneath reveals that everythings pretty stock save for a fantastic-sounding Flowmaster exhaust systemand#44; so you know it always lived someplace warm. Chrome factory alloys add some sparkle to the low-key F-body and carry 245/50/16 Falken performance radials that are only a few months old.

Nasty fast and very attractiveand#44; this Camaro under-promises and over-delivers and for the moneyand#44; you wont find a more enjoyable muscle car. Call today!
