Vesuvio Metallic Package

This special 993 is an example of the rare Vesuvio Metallic Package that was available through the Porsche Exclusive Department near the end of the 993 production. There are believed to have been less than 23 ever built with the complete Vesuvio package in the world. This special Exclusives Department vehicle was outfitted with the unique Purplish Gray paint, offset by Steel Gray painted mirrorandrsquo;s, rear badging, rear grill, door handles, door sills, gauges, gear shifter and brake lever and wheels. Very few were produced with the complete package demonstrating the capabilities of the Porsche Exclusive Department in the final days of the air-cooled 911. This particular example has a two tone Cashmere Beige with Black leather interior. This is the only example we have ever seen that did not have a black or dark grey interior. This vehicle has a clean and clear history with no accidents or paintwork. The vehicle is in concours condition and show ready. The Carfax and Autocheck are clean. There is a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, books, two keys, Porsche Touch-up paint and records. The vehicle has had three prior owners, all of which we are familiar with and are known Porsche collectors. The original owner purchased the vehicle through Bert Wolfe Porsche in Charleston, West Virginia in late 1998 when the new 996andrsquo;s were arriving on lots and all of the attention was on the newest 911. At that point there were only two Vesuvio Edition cars available in the U.S. (the other being in Washington State) and he purchased it on the spot. This vehicle was invited to participate in the 60th Porsche Parade in French Lick, IN as part of the Heritage and Historics Display. This is a special Porsche that stands out among a crowd of Porsches.
