Details: Chrysler was quick to catch on to the fact that their new 300 sedan was a hit with younger buyersand#44; and in 2008and#44; they rolled out this 300 DUB Edition. DUBand#44; if you are unfamiliarand#44; is both a slang term for 20-inch wheels and the name of a magazine celebrating car culture and big hoopsand#44; and the match was unlikely but really worked well.

The 300 was a game-changer for Chrysler and it put some swagger back in their step. Lowand#44; sleekand#44; muscularand#44; and able to back it up with plenty of firepowerand#44; it was everything an American sedan was supposed to be. This one remains mostly original and in excellent conditionand#44; showing gleaming charcoal gray paint and enough chrome to remind you that this one comes from Detroitand#44; not Munich. Dont let the mileage scare youand#44; thoughand#44; because this car has obviously led an easy life and having been housed down south all its lifeand#44; you know rust is a total non-issue. The 300 always looks best in dark colorsand#44; and the broad-shouldered look hunkers down on those big shiny wheels rather well. Up front theres a mesh grille that many feel looks like it should be on a Bentleyand#44; and a deep chin spoiler with built-in fog lamps helps make the car look even lower. There are a few signs of age and useand#44; of courseand#44; but clearly someone felt this car was worthy of preservationand#44; so while it was drivenand#44; it was also very well maintained.

Inside the 300 is a well-tailored suit designed for serious drivingand#44; starting with supportive black leather buckets that are in excellent condition. There are DUB logos stitched on the seat backsand#44; but the rest is standard 300 fareand#44; which means excellent yet stylish gaugesand#44; a long list of standard featuresand#44; and plenty of room. The seats remain in very good shapeand#44; the carpets show only the most minor fadingand#44; and details like the headlinerand#44; door panelsand#44; and dash pad are excellent. The white-faced gauges and fat 4-spoke steering wheel speak to the 300s performance aspirationsand#44; but youll note that the delicate needles on the gauge faces give them a very retro look. Almost everything was standardand#44; including automatic climate controland#44; power seatsand#44; windowsand#44; locksand#44; and mirrorsand#44; a sunroofand#44; cruise controland#44; and a great-sounding AM/FM/CD/satellite/iPod stereo system with a big screen in the middle of the dash. The trunk is big enough for all your luggage on a road tripand#44; even with the big subwoofer tucked into the corner.

Chryslers mid-range 3.5 liter DOHC V6 provides plenty of performance in the DUB Edition while balancing it with reasonable fuel economy. Long since proven as one of those most reliable Chrysler powerplants in recent memoryand#44; this one runs great and has an energetic feeling that youll pick up the first time you drive it. The engine bay is tidy and well-maintained and has not been modified at alland#44; so OEM levels of reliability are still intact. The 5-speed automatic transmission was the only choice and it shifts crisply and mostly stays in the backgroundand#44; just as youd want it. Its rear-wheel-driveand#44; and that was a big deal when it hit the streetsand#44; and with a Mercedes E-Class independent suspensionand#44; its a spirited handlerand#44; too. 4-wheel discs live behind those giant shiny wheelsand#44; which are wrapped in 245/45/20 Pirelli radials.

This is a lot of style for not a lot of cashand#44; and youll stand out in a subtle way with the DUB edition. Call today!
