Get a good lookand#44; everyoneand#44; because this is currently the nastiestand#44; fastestand#44; most brutal Mustang you can own today. This 1-owner 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake is $100and#44;000 worth of upgrades on what was already a very fast carand#44; all wrapped in the most brutal black wrapper weve ever seen. If youve got a car that looks like thisand#44; it had better be fastand#44; and if youve got the stonesand#44; this car brings the speed. Unlike the GT500 on which it is basedand#44; this Shelby Super Snake eschews stripes and flash for a more purposeful look. The upgrades to the bodywork include a carbon-fiber splitter below the front fasciaand#44; the gaping carbon-fiber hood thats rumored to cost in the neighborhood of $20and#44;000 all by itselfand#44; and low-contrast stripes that stay hidden until the angles just right. Theres no mistaking the Mustang shapeand#44; but in this cars caseand#44; its steroid-injected and powered up to 11 on the dial. Its just beautifully builtand#44; as it had better be with a $150and#44;000 sticker priceand#44; and with only 3198 original milesand#44; it remains in virtually factory-fresh condition. Its obviously been properly maintained since it was builtand#44; and all the special Shelby add-ons make it distinctiveand#44; even in a land of high-visibility Mustangs. Its never been wreckedand#44; obviouslyand#44; and if youve been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the next big thingand#44; welland#44; here it is. The black leather interior is also beautifully finished and nicely upgraded over the stock GT500. The wheel is wrapped in grippy alcantara and the seats wear Katzkin leather thats grippy yet supple and comfortable. Theres a big white cue ball knob for the 6-speed manual transmission and the original gauges are joined by a trio of auxiliary dials neatly arrayed down the drivers A-pillar. A touchscreen navigation system and AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo live in the center of the dashand#44; and just about every feature you can imagine is standard equipmentand#44; ranging from A/C to power everything to stereo controls on the steering wheel. Shelby adds a support barand#44; which is a tradition dating back to the very earliest days of Shelby Mustangsand#44; and it gives the convertible a very aggressive look. And speaking of convertibleand#44; the black canvas top is like new and stows so neatly that you dont even need to use the boot. The list of upgrades to the GT500s engine is extensiveand#44; long enough to add another 200 ponies to the cars already astounding 662 horsepowerand#44; for a total of around 850. Most of that comes from a reallyand#44; really big 3.6Land#44; twin-screwed Kenne Bell blowerand#44; which is more than 50% bigger than the factory unit. Of courseand#44; it also comes with an upgraded intercoolerand#44; bigger camsand#44; special tuningand#44; and other tricks. There are race-grade componentsand#44; including the trick aluminum coolant tanks and a giant radiator up front to keep it all cool. Other upgrades include a beefier clutchand#44; upgraded brakesand#44; and custom suspension pieces that not only help it hook upand#44; but make this Mustang a rather competent car in the cornersand#44; too. Performance is other-worldlyand#44; because if you see a hole in traffic you can be there almost instantlyand#44; and there are surely few other cars on the planet that can match this car on the roll. Full boost is there before you can get your foot on the floorand#44; but you need to be at the top of your game to get the most out of it. If youre a poserand#44; youre going to get hurtand#44; but learn to dance with it and the Shelby will reward you with performance thatll tear your face off.
